Meet the Member: The Social Butterfly With a Can-Do Attitude

What’s it like to stay in Dash Suites? Meet Tiffany Luk, a marketer from Canada, and a member at Dash Living. We caught up with Tiffany to find out why she moved from a two-bedroom apartment to Dash Suites and her experience living with us.

Can you give us more background on why you choose to rent with Dash Living?
T: I moved to Hong Kong 8 years ago from Canada, but my parents and sisters are still in Canada! I’ve been working in marketing for most of my time here!

Can you give us more background on why you choose to rent with Dash Living?
T: I was renting a 2-bedroom apartment with my roommate in Sai Ying Pun, which is close to Central, but Dash Living is closer to my workplace. I lived there for a year because of the one year fixed contract,  and here I am at Dash Living, since my contract ended. I think it is nice to have your my own space and  not share the bathroom with anyone.

What’s your experience with the Dash Community like so far?
T: I have had a couple of great experiences going to Dash’s events, including Happy Wednesday at Happy Valley Racecourse, Moonzen Rooftop Party for Mid Autumn Festival, and a 10K charity run with the for Hong Kong Cancer Fund. Every time I join an event, I meet a diverse crowd  who are tenants of DASH from Canada, France, the United States, and locals from Hong Kong – that makes the community both very inclusive and different at the same time.

We heard you’ve been working from home. How has that been so far?
T:  Yes! I have been using the 1-month free trial for coworking space by Compass Office in Causeway Bay recently. It’s close to my home and a good option when I can utilize a productive work environment during the WFH situation.

Do you have a favourite foodie spot?
T: I’m not a foodie, but my go-to place is Pret a Manger in Lee Gardens, Causeway Bay for something healthy and wholesome.

What’s your favorite way to relax after work and on weekends?
T: I like to spend a day in my Dash unit to read or learn about a variety of topics. Sometimes, I could probably be heard practicing  the violin, something I’ve picked up during this WFH period.

It sounds like a very busy weekend! Have you had time to pick up any new hobbies during the pandemic?
T: I bought a violin last year and thought maybe I could learn it by myself because I know how to play the piano. However, I found the violin is way harder, and after trying to learn online at home, I decided to find a teacher, and fortunately, I found one in Wan Chai and his studio is a 5 minute walk away from my home at Dash.

Finally, what’s one of the most memorable experiences during your stay at Dash Suites so far?
T: When I asked my eyelash lady to do my lash extension at home! Because the location of my home was convenient enough for her to go to, she agreed to and it worked out for the both of us!
